FAQs

What will therapy be like?

Because each person has unique issues and goals for therapy, therapy sessions will be different depending on the individual. I tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual’s specific needs. For children and adolescents, I may incorporate play and various games depending on what is best for your child.

As the parent or guardian, what can I do to help?

As the parent or guardian, it will be important for you to support your child through the therapeutic journey, maintain consistency, and play an active role in your child’s life.

How long will therapy take?

Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them; therefore, the length of time in therapy will vary. Having support outside of therapy and staying committed to personal growth and healing will be instrumental in having successful outcomes.

Why shouldn’t I or my child just take medication?

Medication can be effective but it alone cannot solve all issues. Sometimes medication is needed in conjunction with therapy. My work with children, adolescents, and mothers is designed to explore and unpack the problems they are experiencing and expand on their strengths and support system that can help them accomplish their personal goals.
